Kaleto Thracian Fortress

The ruins of the Kaleto Fortress near Ardino can be found in the Eagle’s Cliffs location. It is about 500 meters away from this Thracian Sanctuary. Very little left of this fortress and it is difficult to find, but still the fortress was high nearly as the niches of the sanctuary. The fortress was in the form of improper circle with a diameter of 67 meters and had a total area of 0.5 acres. It was made of stones with no mortar. Many remnants of Thracian ceramics were found in the region.
