Hydro Power Company “Gorna Arda”

Hydro Power Company Gorna Arda is a Bulgarian-Austrian joint company, established to engineer, construct and operate the hydro power cascade of the same name, located on the upper stream of Arda river. Shareholders in this company are the Bulgarian National Electric Company (NEK) and the Austrian EVN AG.

The change in the company’s ownership structure is registered in the Company’s Register on June 29, 2018. According to the latest updates, the company’s capital is 58 260 BGN, where EVN holds 22 140 shares (76%) and NEK holds 6 990 shares (24%). The management structure of the company consists of Supervisory and Management Boards. Each of the boards consists of three people. Chairperson of the Supervisory Board is Dr. Gerhard Kampichler and Chairperson of the Management Board is Mario Niederwolfsgruber.
