Alada Peak

One of the highest peaks in theEastern Rhodope– 1240 m. It is situated on the border between Ardino, Djebel and Nedelino. There are water springs in the area pouring cold water from the Alada’s depths. A local legend says that during the Turkish invasion in theRhodope Mountainson Allah-Dag, the Ottomans received an order to stop the slaughter and begin the islamisation.
